Atlanta Luxury Shopping Trip is a more personalized experience. They’ll pick you up from any hotel or residence and take you to the shopping venue of your choice. Once you’re home, the driver will help you unload all the packages from your four-hour shopping spree.
Shopping in Atlanta Malls

Atlanta is known for its excellent shopping malls. And, with all the stress of moving, you may need some fast retail therapy. Here’s a guide to great shopping for all tastes and price points in Atlanta’s malls:
Atlantic Station – As an open-air mall, Atlantic Station has a neighborhood feel. The huge complex has department stores and clothing boutiques, of course, but also includes entertainment options, dining, home goods, and a grocery store. With plenty of apartment options surrounding Atlantic Station, you might just move in!
Phipps Plaza – This is the place to go for that $2500 skirt you’ve always wanted. Phipps Plaza is high-end shopping at its finest. It’s located in Buckhead across the street from Lenox Square, so you’ll have lots of shopping options in the surrounding area.
Ponce City Market fits right in with its hip Old Fourth Ward neighborhood location. When you go, don’t expect clean-cut, typical mall decor. The building used to be a Sears distribution center, and it kept its industrial feel. There was high anticipation when the first clothing store opened in 2012 and there’s still a buzz around PCM. Besides the shops, you can check out the high-profile dining, rooftop amusement park, or WonderRoot artist’s market.
Shopping for Your New Home in Atlanta
Need new furniture for your new move? Atlanta’s got all your favorite chains like Ikea, Homegoods and Pier 1. On the higher end, there’s Room & Board, Ligne Roset, Design within Reach or Restoration Hardware. But if you want to get real original, here’s our list of our favorite Atlanta furniture stores:
Horizon Home Furniture
The store has more than 40,000 square feet of trendy home and office furniture at 50-70% off of retail prices. It’s a favorite shopping spot for interior or set designers, but regular homeowners come, too. Ranked #1 in Atlanta for live edge furnishings, Horizon is literally cutting edge. You can choose a finished piece or pick your own slab for a custom live edge design.
Kaboodle
You won’t find anything more original than this. Kaboodle features fun, eclectic art, furniture and home accessories. (Think cabinets made from old school lockers.) The store is located in East Atlanta Village with many locally sourced pieces. Customer service is highly rated; they’ll even make custom items for you!
City Issue Atlanta
Located in Inman Park, City Issue specializes in stylish antiques from the 1950s through the early 1970s. Their furniture, art, and home decor come mostly from the original owners and are arranged to highlight the beauty of the curated collection. You’ll find lighting options, too, in this one of a kind store.

Stock the Fridge at Local Grocery Stores
Moving sure makes you hungry, but your fridge and pantry are bare. You’ll find the national grocery chains that you’re used to—like Whole Foods or Costco—in Atlanta. But you’ll also find yourself shopping at these local grocery chains:
Kroger – Kroger has over 300 stores in the Atlanta area, so there is bound to be one near you. Besides the basics, many Kroger stores have well-stocked specialty sections, including organic and international foods.
Publix -When was the last time a bagger offered to push your cart out to the parking lot? It’s hard to remember, but at Publix, that’s par for the course. Publix grocery stores are known for their friendly, attentive customer service. Also, be sure to check out the deli sandwich counter for one of their famous “Pub Subs.”
Atlanta Bargain Shopping
Are you looking to save some money with your new move? Or is it all about the thrill of the hunt? Either way, you’ll be leaving these stores with bulging bags:
Tanger Outlets is only a half hour from Atlanta. Your favorite brands all have stores here with super deals on overstocks and past season’s clothing. Who knows, maybe you’ll find those designer pants you couldn’t afford last winter at Phipps Plaza.
The Lucky Exchange is a consignment store in Midtown. It’s the place for upscale used and vintage clothing and accessories. It’ll take time to go through the racks, but you could be the one to find that highly sought-after vintage Louis Vuitton handbag.
Last Chance Thrift Store has clothing, shoes, appliances, toys, furniture, and more. There are three Atlanta locations, and they’re all bursting with merchandise. Spend some time to find the gems hidden in the racks and shelves. Best of all, the entire store is half price every Monday.
