“Optima Chicago Center, A Closer Look”
“Why should I Call Optima Chicago Center Home?”
Located on the edge of Streeterville, Optima Chicago Center combines convenience to both the everyday essentials, as well as weekend nightlife. You will be in the absolute center of downtown Chicago, two blocks from the Magnificent Mile! Boredom will not be had with your extensive list of dinning and bar options, from quick service to Michelin-rated.
And did we mention the shopping! You'll have quick access to Chicago's Water tower Place, H&M, Crate & Barrel, Burberry, just to name a few!
Along with great shopping options get ready for a front row seat to holiday parades downtown, and the firework displays at Navy Pier every summer. Avid runners and bikers will love the proximity to the lakefront trails, making it easy to stay active without the gym membership.
One con most associated with Streeterville is the high volume of tourists also enjoying Chicago's downtown, on the flip-side this is a prime location people-watching. Plus, it's always fun to show off your direction-giving skills and listen to their (sometimes confusing) questions.
"Can you tell us how to get to the Watergate Tower?"
"No, I cant. Nixon isn't from Chicago."
I hope you're decisive when it comes to deciding where to get your groceries, banking, grab a cup of coffee, etc. Optima residents have a variety of options close by whether they are Whole Foods loyalists, or have pledged their grocery buying alliance to Trader Joe's. Looking for that brand of cookie you tried on your trip to Italy? Eataly is also a short 6 minute walk away.
Need to utilize Chicago's trusty CTA for your commute every morning? The Grand Red Line stop is a short 10 minute walk West into the city. On your walk you can grab a cup of caffeine at your regular coffee shop staples, Starbucks and Dunkin' Donuts. Need something a little different? Check out Espressamente Illy a quick 2 minute walk away.
Speaking of commute, Optima is placed conveniently for a quick walk to the red line as mentioned, or one of Michigan Avenue's many busses. A block away at Michigan and Illinois you can hop on bus #151 to take you to Union Station, or up North on Lakeshore Dr. as far as Lakeview. If you have your own car, Optima offers easy access to Lakeshore Dr.
The perk of living in a high traffic tourist area? The plethora of restaurants available; supply and demand at it's finest! Sample some Japanese cuisine at NIU Japanese Fusion, or satisfy both your sweet and savory taste buds with a chicken-donut sandwich at Do-Rite Donuts. Even the fast food options cover every type of cuisine from Pizza at Blaze, to a warm cup of soup at Panera Bread for those cold Chicago days.
Looking for a happy hour bar for you and your co-workers? Chef's Burger Bistro has some of the best happy hour deals we've ever indulged in. Need a cool patio seen? Howells and Hood has you covered, literally! Their outdoor bar is complete with an awning for any impromptu Chicago weather changes.
The Pet Parent
The four-legged residents at Optima can also enjoy the same convenience their humans do in Streeterville. Close by you can find a Kriser's Natural Pet store and City Pets for all of the food, treats, and toys you could ask for to spoil your furry-friend. Both Kriser's and City Pets also offer grooming services to help keep your pet clean and pampered. Don't want to leave your small pup home alone all day? City Pets also offers week-day daycare for smaller breeds.
Is your pup's cold nose warm all of a sudden? City veterinarian is a quick 11 minute walk away to help keep your pet healthy. Although there aren't any specified dog parks close by to Optima, the Streeterville neighborhood is perfect for a daily walk or two. Or, a nice run along the lake would be perfect for warmer days!
